Weight Distribution Hitch With Sway Control For 2022 R-Pod RP-193
Question:
I was wondering if you could tell me which weight distribution hitch is need for my 2022 RPOD 193. It has a hitch weight of 435lbs and a UVW of 3,654lbs. I really like the camco R3 Recurve hitch. Thanks

We can get your 2022 Forest River R-Pod RP-193 set up with a weight distribution hitch with sway control, and while we don't offer the Recurve, we do have an option that is better, from Fastway:
- Fastway e2 Weight Distribution w/ 2-Point Sway Control # FA92-00-0800
The Fastway # FA92-00-0800 is for total tongue weights between 400 lbs and 800 lbs so your R-Pod will be perfectly within those ranges. It is better than the Recurve because it gives you optimal sway control at all times, unlike the odd Recurve system that lets you choose how much you want (I've yet to speak to anyone who didn't want as much sway control as possible).
The Fastway allows you to reverse with the system on without taking any other steps, unlike the Recurve where you have to disengage it. This hitch is easier to set up as well with trunnion bars that go straight in the hitch head instead of the round bars of the Recurve. The Fastway is simply a better, easier to use weight distribution hitch, and is what I would personally go with for my R-Pod.
The only other thing you will need is the hitch ball, which you can get with the 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # A-6.
