Roof Rack For 2012 Toyota RAV4 With Raised Side Rails For Roof Bike Racks

Question:

I have 2 Yakima Forklifts that were given to me, but I have a problem. The vehicle is a 2012 Toyota Rav4. The crossbars are factory. When I install the Forklifts and mount bikes, the arc of the crossbar means that the bikes with splay out a few degrees from being perpendicular Vertical . What cross bar options do you have to fit the manufacturers rails? Thanks

By manufacturer rails, I assume you are referring to the raised side rails on your 2012 Toyota RAV4, and there is a roof rack that will do a much better job for you of carrying your pair of Yakima ForkLift Roof Mounted Bike Carriers # Y02098. What you can do is use a roof rack from Malone:

- Malone AirFlow2 Roof Rack # MPG215

The # MPG215 are designed for carrying accessories like your bike racks, and don't have the arc that is common on factory racks, they'll have a flat surface for you to mount your racks.
