The MagnaFlow Stainless Steel Cat-Back Exhaust System # MF15792 for your 2006 Chevy Silverado 1500 is made of 409 Grade Stainless Steel.

According to my contact at MagnaFlow, this is the same type used for all of their cat-back systems.
