Parts Needed To Install the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty on a 2018 Freightliner XC Chassis
Question:
I am interested in the redarc Liberty unit for my 2018 Freightliner XC chassis. Is there a way to make this a plug in system?

Yes, there is a way to have a plug and play installation if your 2018 Freightliner XC has the factory towing package. There will be a plug to the left of the brake pedal, behind the plastics shroud that encloses the left portion of the lower steering column. I have attached a picture below for reference.
If this plug is there you will be able to use the Plug-In Wiring Adapter item # 3027-P and the Redarc Tow-Pro Wiring Adapter item # 331-TPH-017. These two adapters will allow you to connect the Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR without splicing wires.
However, if you do not have this plug you will need to use the Universal Wiring Harness for Redarc Tow-Pro Trailer Brake Controllers item # RED69FR to complete your installation.
