Can 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500 With Factory Hitch Upgrade to New Hitch
Question:
My 2022 chevy 2500 custom gas has a gvwr 10650 a curb weight of 6998 and 3652 payload remaining and a tow capacity of 14500 . the current hitch rating is 1450 pounds . since i have 3652 payload remaining can i upgrade my hitch to a higher weight rating such as 1600 or 2000 pounds

Your 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500 can upgrade from the factory hitch to a more robust one such as the 20,000 lb towing/2,500 lb tongue weight TorkLift SuperHitch Magnum Trailer Hitch Receiver # TL74FR.
That said, it will not change any of the ratings Chevy has for the vehicle in regards to maximum towing or maximum tongue weight, as they are the ones who set the ratings as opposed to the equipment on it. Please check your owner's manual for the maximum ratings of the truck.
