Question:
I am wrapping up a pop up camper build and need to upgrade the suspension after adding all the new weight. I can not find a direct replacement for our idler axle dimensions and feel that I will need to go axleless. What would be our best option for hubs if we went with Timbren Heavy-Duty Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - 2inch Lift Spindle - Off-Road Tires - 3,500 lbsinch and want to run a wider road tire than the trailer rims and tires on it now.

In order to add an idler hub (no brakes) to the Timbren Heavy-Duty Axle-Less Trailer Suspension part # TASR35HDS06 you'd need to use either the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly part # 8-213-5UC1-EZ which has a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern or the Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly part # 8-231-9UC1-EZ which has a 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern. Please note, if you go with the former you'll need a different grease seal, the Grease Seal part # GS-2250DL.
I have attached some of our wheel/tire options below for these bolts patterns as well.
Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 5,200-lb E-Z Lube Axles - 6 on 5-1/2
Dexter Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 5,200-lb to 7,000-lb E-Z Lube Axles - 8 on 6-1/2
Grease Seal - Double Lip - 2.250" ID - 3.376" OD - GS-2250DL
Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - Heavy Duty - Long Spindle w/ 2" Lift - 5 Bolt - 3.5K
