Can 80 inch Yakima Corebars Fit Two ShowDown Kayak Carriers
Question:
I have a 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty Crew cab, 6 1/2foot bed and A.R.E truck cap. The A.R.E cap has a Yakima Skyline tower rack system with aero corebars. I would like to install two Yakima ShowDowns side by side. The aero bars that came with the cap are to short, what length aero corebars would I need? I saw a response from the questions asked that stated each ShowDown required 38inch and another said 42inch each. Would the 80inch corebars work? With this truck rack height around 8foot the load assist ShowDowns look like the best way to go, Thank-you

Great question, but long story short yes you can use two of the 80 inch Yakima CoreBars part # 8880656 to carry two of the Yakima ShowDown kayak carriers part # Y04081 that you mentioned. This would easily allow both racks to fit as the carrier only really requires 38 inches of bar space.
