Comparing Roadmaster InvisiBrake and Demco Air Force One Brake Systems for a 2020 Buick Envision

Question:

Am towing a 2020 Buick Envision with 2021 Newmar Ventana diesel pusher. Have a NSA Ready Brute Elite tow bar, but the surge braking system within the tow bar is problematic just last week our TMS noted that the front tires on the Buick were overheating - the brake cable was stuck on. Interested in knowing whether others have had this problem and suggested solutions. Alternatively, considering supplemental braking system, either Air Force One or Invisabrake. Recommendations?

The NSA Ready Brute Elite tow bar is a pretty iconic system and while we have carried it in the past, that was long enough ago that we don't really have too much information on the system anymore. I will say that while I do like the idea of having the brake system integrated with the tow bar, it does make me a little skeptical at how well it performs just because of all of the different moving parts involved.

When talking about the Roadmaster InvisiBrake # RM-8700 and the Demco Air Force One # DM26VR there really is no comparison; I recommend the Air Force One hands-down any day of the week. Don't get me wrong, the InvisiBrake is a good option in it's own right, just from what I've gathered from the install team the Air Force One has a smoother installation process (might not be easier, but is smoother), and it will be a better fit for your towing application since it ties into the air brakes on your motorhome.

Whenever someone asks me for a supplemental brake controller recommendation it's almost always the Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO # DM86VR for a motorhome with hydraulic brakes or the Demco Air Force One # DM26VR for a motorhome with air brakes, just to express how much I trust and push these types of brake systems from Demco.
