Compatible Voyager RV Camera For A Jensen VR187 RV Stereo System

Hello, I have a 2008 Four Winds RV that came with the Jensen VR187 stereo and monitor. Do you know if this camera will work with it? I havent pulled the cable out from the back of the RV to see that connector yet, but the camera connector on the back of the stereo looks similar to the one on this camera. Thanks,

Yes, the Voyager RV Backup Camera w/ Night Vision # VGR84VR would be a compatible option for your Jensen VR187 RV Stereo. I found the user manual online with a diagram showing the rear and side marker camera hookups. If the rear camera wiring you have in the back of your motorhome doesn't have the female style connector for this then you would have to run an extension line yourself all the way to the stereo. We have a few different lengths depending on your needs:

10' # VGR94FR
15' # CEC15
25' # CEC25
34' # CEC34
50' # CEC50
75' # CEC75

If you'd like to add on side marker cameras then we also carry the driver's side # VCMS50LGP and passenger's side # VCMS12RGPR.

Having ran the line before for a side camera I wish you the best of luck tracing the wire through your motorhome and keeping it hidden. You'll definitely have to remove and replace trim as you go and really try to plan out your route. I recommend going with more cable than you'll need to ensure you can make the length without running out.

Kevin The VR187 has three camera inputs. One for each side marker cams and one for rear camera with tilt and audio. The cable that you specified for Chris will only work with the CH2 and CH3 inputs. The Channel 1 (rear ) has a different connector that is 4 pin but is a different configuration. I'm in the process of installing a Stinger Hight 10 that only accepts RCA and wired trigger inputs. So with that said I'm looking for the adapter that will get my camera working. I know that I will lose my tilt feature but I think I can live with that. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

@KevinC Thanks for your reply.do you know if this adapter will keep my tilt an audio function? four wires don't seem to be enough but my friend said that all those features worked with the Innovatek/ Jensen VR187.

@Paul I spoke with ASA Electronics and they stated that you would lose the tilt function and that there is not an alternative adapter to keep it unfortunately.
