Depending on the lighting for the Bronco your brake light relay wire might not be useable. Models without the signature LED lighting will have a purple wire for the brake light, while models with the signature LED lighting will not have an accessible wire and instead would need a stop light switch kit in order to get the signal.

If you have an automatic transmission then you'll need the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM68MR. If you have a manual transmission then you'll need the Roadmaster Universal Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751000 instead. These stop light switch kits will sense when the brake pedal is depressed and send out the signal, which I'm assuming you need to connect to the indicator light on a supplemental braking system.

@AndyC The purple wire would be coming off of the top of the brake pedal. You'll have to squeeze under the dash and look up at the wiring that connects to the brake pedal to see if you have it. If you do you can test to make sure it's the correct wire with a hook & probe tester # PTW2993 see if it only has power when the brake pedal is being depressed.
