Question:
Will using a convert a ball with offset cause any problems with an 8 foot bed? I know people choose them for added clearance with short beds, Im just wondering if there is any reason NOT to use one on a long bed.

There wouldn't by any issues using a Convert-A-Ball Cushioned 5th-Wheel-to-Gooseneck Adapter w/ Offset # CAB-C5GX1216 on a truck with a long bed. It should work just fine for you.
