How to Tell if 6" Drop for Equal-i-zer WD Shank is Good for Towing a Trailer Level
Question:
I am purchasing a Silverado 2500HD and currently have a Sierra 1500 SLT. The height to the bottom of my ball is 20.25 inches and 23.25 inches to the top. I have a Cherokee 274BRB camper. Will the Equailizer 6 inch provide enough of a drop for me?

The answer to your question is a solid maybe.
In order to have the correct amount of drop you need to measure from the ground to the top inside of the hitch receiver on your truck, and then from the ground to the bottom of the coupler on your trailer. If your truck receiver is higher then you need a drop with the difference, but if it's lower then you need a rise with the difference.
So the 6" drop of the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank # EQ90-02-4900 will be perfect if you take those measurements and your hitch receiver height is 6" more than the coupler height you measure.
