How to Get Additional Height from Yakima Long Arm Load Extender
Question:
I have a 2019 GMC 2500 Denali. I purchased a Yakima Long Arm Load Extender with the extension to mount on my front end hitch to assist with carrying our two Hobie Kayaks over the cab. This is due to pulling a fifth wheel camper behind the truck. I have a set of Thule Pro roof racks that will carry the kayaks as well. after checking the extension height with the level of the roof racks it appears I need an additional 6-8inch more in height for the Yakima Long Arm to be level with the Thule Racks. Can I add another Yakima extension to the long arm to make up the additional 6-8?

I have a solution for you to get an additional 6 inches of height from your Yakima LongArm Load Extender part # Y01149 but there isn't a way to use an additional extender. Instead a high low adapter like the part # RM-076 would be what you'd want as this will move the entire assembly up 6 inches.
