Does 1986 Ford Pickup Westin Fey Surestep Deluxe XLT Rear Bumper Have a Center Pad
Question:
Is there a matching polymer pad to cover the center hitch ball section of the Westin-Fey 21007-92230? A higher capacity hitch will be needed. Tks

Expert Reply:
The molded polymer plastic step pad on the Westin Fey Surestep Deluxe XLT Rear Bumper # 21007-92230 for your 1986 Ford pickup is designed only for that bumper piece and isn't available to cover up where the hitch ball is meant to be installed.
Since you're also needing a hitch receiver with a higher towing weight capacity I recommend checking out the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 14001 which has up to 10K towing and 1K tongue weight ratings, plus the crosstube is hidden for a cleaner-looking installation.
