Will Optronics Trailer Taillight Kit part # TL5RK Wiring Last Longer Than Two Years
Question:
My fathers trailer has lights and wiring that are just 2 years old, bought from Amazon Wellmax brand before I took possession of the trailer. The copper wiring inside the insulation has now turned to dust and is useless. I now want/need to purchase a quality light kit but have no idea if the next one, regardless of brand, source, etc. will also fail like this. What do you advise or what can you tell me about the kits on etrailer.com? Thanks!

That is really unusual for the wiring to basically just destroy itself within two years, but sorry to hear that. The kits we offer like the Submersible, Under 80" Trailer Light Kit # TL5RK that you referenced would not have this issue and would work really great long term. We have sold more of these kits than we can count and have not ever heard of that issue.
