I seen a forum post where the ford gooseneck ball kit will fit the 2014 ram? A gentleman purchase the ford kit for his ram and said it fit perfectly?

I spoke with my contact at Cequent about the Elite Gooseneck Kit # RP30137. These are designed for the Ford prep tow package. Although there are customers that have used these in the front pucks on their Dodge Ram, it is not recommended to use the safety chains in the front pucks.

For the 2014 Dodge Ram with the hitch prep package, the kit I recommend is part # RP30140. This is designed for Dodge trucks with the hitch prep package installed. If the safety chain holder is all that is needed for the 2014 Ram I recommend part # RP30145.

I pulled both of these kits from our warehouse and took some photos. As you can see on the photos there is quite a size difference between the Ford and Dodge safety chain holders. I do not recommend using the # RP30137 kit on the Dodge truck.

If you are looking for only the gooseneck ball, I recommend Replacement Ball, part # RP19311, for your 2014 Dodge Ram Pickup with the hitch prep package.
