Parts Needed For Flat Towing a 2023 Ford F-150
Question:
What do I need to flat tow my 2023 Ford F-150?

Expert Reply:
First you will need the Roadmaster Base Plate # RM38VR to attach to the front of your 2023 Ford F-150. I recommend using the Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar # RM-676. This has an aluminum construction for corrosion resistance along with LED lights built in to make connecting and disconnecting easier at night. You may need a high-low adapter like the 4" # RM-048-4 to keep the tow bars within 3" of level from your motorhome to the front of the truck.
The Accessory Kit # RM-9284-2 will provide you with most of the wiring you need along with storage bag, cover, lube and locks. You will also need the Battery Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 to prevent the battery from draining while towing. And you will need either the Smart Diodes for Incandescent # RO34FR or LED # RO54FR tail lights to replace the standard diodes which come with the accessory kit.
Finally you will need either the Demco Air Force One Supplemental Braking System # DM26VR if your motorhome has air actuated brakes or the Stay-IN-Play DUO # DM86VR if your motorhome has hydraulic brakes.
