Replacement Pintle Hitch Ball Options
Question:
Im looking for a replacement ball for an older pintle-ball combination hitch with no ID labels remaining. What i find missing from your replacement ball information is the distance from base to top of ball. This can lead to a pintle latch that wont close if the ball is too tall, or a gap if the ball is too short. There appears to be a noticeable difference in the height of the balls pictured, with some having a longer stem than others. Is there an industry standard height? If not, can this information be added to the descriptions or the QandA? Thanks

You do make a good point, but almost all of our replacement pintle hitch balls are designed for a specific pintle ball mount system which is why you don't see that dimension on every product page.
The only pintle hitch balls that are for generic ball mounts are the ones from Tow Ready and we do have that measurement for the Pintle Hitch Ball with 2" Diameter, 10,000 lbs GTW # 63018 - 2-1/2" from bottom of flange to top of ball.
If this doesn't work for you just let me know what weight rating you're needing as well as the height of your old hitch ball and I can see if one of the other Tow Ready pintle hitch balls matches that.
