Can Rhino Rack 581 Nautic Kayak Carrier be Left Installed on Roof Rack
Question:
Is it okay to leave the Kayak cradles on my roof rack in the 90~100 degree weather/exposed to the elements? How often should they be removed? And if removed often, will the threads loosen faster over time? Or is it best to leave it on.

We haven't had anyone complain that leaving their Rhino Rack Nautic 581 # RR581 mounted on their roof rack caused any issues from the heat and sun but Yakima had a similar carrier that the rubber pad would get really soft and start to deteriorate over time so I wouldn't leave these on indefinitely. How often they should be removed is really based on how often you will be using them. If you're going to be using them quite a bit it would make sense to just leave them on but if you aren't going to for the foreseeable future may as well take them off.
