Part Needed to Add 7-Way to 2023 Chevy Trailblazer With 4-Way

Question:

I have a 2023 chevy trailblazer rs. I know its only equipped with a 4 pin wiring harness at the back. How is the best way to get power back to the trailer brakes through a controller. I read there is a harness loose under the dash for the controller.. so will I have to run a wire back to the rear somehow?

Since your 2023 Chevy Trailblazer has a 4-way already, what you'll need to do for electric trailer brakes is add a 7-way, which you can get with the following:

- Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller # ETBC7

You'll plug the 4-way into the 7-way that comes with the # ETBC7, which also gives you the wiring, circuit breakers, and rest of the hardware needed for installation. For power you will need to connect directly to your Trailblazer's battery with the included wiring, and I have added a link below to a help article which explains the process.
