Can I tow a trailer that has a 2 5/16 Hitch on a 2 inch ball with it jump Off

You will want to match the ball you use with what the trailer coupler requires. It is definitely possible that the coupler could come off of the ball if you are using a ball that is too small for the coupler.
We have many 2-5/16 inch balls. I have included a link to them for you. You will need to make sure that you get one that has the right shank diameter to fit your ball mount's ball hole.
