Does The Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuator w Electric Lockout Have A Manual Lockout Option
Question:
Can this be used without hooking up the electric reverse solenoid. I have a couple vehicles without a 5 pin connector and would prefer to not have to put one on them if I can manual lockout when needed

The Dexter DX7.5L A-60 Brake Actuator w Electric Lockout # DX89FR unfortunately doesn't have a manual lockout option so you wouldn't be able to reverse without activating the brakes on the trailer. To solve this issue you can either install 5-pole wiring on each tow vehicle to connect to the electric lockout or you can swap out the brakes on the trailer to free-backing brake assemblies. If you didn't hook up the electric lockout solenoid then you wouldn't be able to reverse with the trailer connected.
If you need help finding the correct wiring then I'll just need to know the year/make/model of the vehicles you'll be using to tow the trailer. If you want free-backing brake assemblies then I'll just need to know the axle capacity to find the correct fit. If you have part numbers on the inside of the brake assembly I can also try to look them up that way to find the correct replacements.
