2024 Ford Explorer Brake Controller and Wiring Recommendation for Trailer Towing
Question:
I already have a hitch and the Curt C56093 installed on my 2024 Ford Explorer but now I need to tow a larger trailer that requires a brake controller. What other parts do I need and what controller do you recommend?

Expert Reply:
The Curt T-Connector # C56093 is a great place to start with wiring on your 2024 Ford Explorer. To get your vehicle ready for your trailer I recommend the following parts:
- Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7
- Redarc Tow-Pro Liberty Brake Controller # RED24FR
- Wiring Harness # RED69FR
The universal kit gives you everything you need to connect a brake controller on your Explorer, and then the Tow-Pro Liberty is a fantastic controller since it uses color coding to let you know what your settings are. It also is extremely versatile and can be installed almost anywhere without taking up much space in your cab.
