Hey there Joe, that's an interesting question. The advantage of the Autoslide that fits directly into the puck system of your 2020 Ram 2500 - the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider - Ram Prep Package # DM69GV - is really just simplicity.
You aren't tasked with using and keeping track of an extra piece in your truck bed like you would be with using an adapter. Also - and pretty importantly - it's less expensive than the standard hitch with the adapter for the puck system.
As for disadvantages of the # DM69GV compared to the Demco Autoslide # DM8550034 and 5th Wheel Adapter # DM6099? There honestly aren't any that I can think of. Even if you were going to a new truck in a year or two you would just have to swap out the plates of the # DM69GV while the other option would require you to get a whole new adapter.
So if it were me, I would 100% go with the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch w/ Slider - Ram Prep Package # DM69GV.
