Trailer Wiring Harness Options for a 2010 and Newer Toyota Prius
Question:
Will this work with that car? It to my knowledge only puts out 5w per led light so a powered unit is required for a trailer light to work. I believe it has separate turn signals

The third generation Toyota Prius starting in the 2010 model year can use Curt trailer wiring harness # C56147.
You could also use # 118505 both it and the Curt harness plug in line with the vehicle tail lights to get the correct signals.
I have included instruction links for both wiring harnesses and a video showing installation for harness # 118505.
