Troubleshooting A Non-Working Third Brake Light Camera On A 2017 Ford F-250

I have installed the third brake light camera after closely watching the video. Doesn’t work. Can you please advise?

Hey David,

The Custom Third Brake Light Camera # 3460001 has a lot of plug-in connectors so there's a good change that you have a loose connection. I recommend double checking your wiring to make sure everything is fully pressed in. Some times when plugging the wiring in and then putting the trim panels back in can pinch or pull on the connectors and cause an issue. From there you'll also want to check that the switch is getting 12v power with a multimeter # PT89ZR. There's a chance that the fuse could've blown and isn't allowing power to pass through and activate the camera.

From there you'll also need the truck to be running and shifted into reverse to get the camera to activate. If you still have issues then let me know and we can keep troubleshooting.
