Can T-Slots of Pace Edwards JackRabbit Work with Yakima Overhaul HD Ladder Rack

Question:

Your installer mentioned that this cover is better for commercial ladder racks and if I will be using Yakima, Thule etc. I might want to go with the Retrax cover. This leaves me a bit confused. Isnt a T-Slot a T-slot? Can I use any Yakima, Thule, or Truxedo Elevate ladder rack on this Pace Edward Jack Rabbit cover and if not which ladder racks are compatible? Thanks

Hey Brian, sorry about the confusion! So the t-slots of the Pace Edwards Full-Metal JackRabbit # PE36CV are compatible with the "non-commercial" ladder racks as well like the Yakima Overhaul for Tonneau Cover Rails # Y01151-5755.

The T-slots of the JackRabbit are essentially identical to the other brand options. I think the installer was trying to get at the fact that Pace offers a pretty hardcore ladder rack that they designed for their rails.

Looking at the Yakima Overhaul for this Pace Edward Jackrabbit with Explorer rails cover. First question. Will my Thule roof box clamps work with the Yakima Overland? I can't change the Thule clamps out for the Truxedo rack cross bars with some kit since I share my Thule box with my son. I need the exiting Thule box clamps to work with the Yakima bars. Second question: when I read the details on the Yakima Overland it say that it is compatibile with the Pace Ultra Groove and does not list this Pace Jackrabbit hard cover with the Explorer rails. Thoughts? Sorry to beat this to death but I really like the Pace Edwards Jackrabbit with explorer rails but need to make sure it will work when I add a ladder rack to it. Thanks

@Brian The crossbars of the Yakima Overland are small enough to be compatible with the Yakima Overhaul, OutPost, and Overland are small enough to be compatible with Thule cargo boxes. These are compatible with the Explorer rails of the Pace JackRabbit.
