Troubleshooting Signal Loss On Furrion Vision S 7" Backup Monitoring System 2017 Ford F-150
Question:
I am having signal loss problems with my Furion s 7 back up camera system. Will the part #VGR64VR unit solve this problem on a 2017 Ford F150 ?

The 12V PWM Filter # VGR64VR is only required trailers which are being towed with a vehicle that uses Pulse Wave Modulation wiring. The most common being the 2021 and newer GM trucks. This was not a wiring type used on your 2017 Ford F-150. I would start by checking the 7-way connector for any damage on both your truck and the trailer. You may have some corrosion built up on the terminals which is causing power to degrade going to the camera and running lights on the trailer. Next I would remove the camera and check its connector. be sure to check as much as the wiring as possible going to the camera as well as it may have rubbed and developed a short.
You can also take the rear camera completely off and connect it directly to the harness in your truck which will allow you to bounce the camera around and determine if there may be an internal short inside the camera which is causing the issue. If you are still having issues please let me know and I can reach out to Furrion with any additional input or tests they recommend.

Thank you for the info. I have changed my monitor back to the original 4.5:" monitor and the whole thing works just fine. It only looses signal, and that intermittently ,when I use the 7" monitor. The smaller monitor is just too hard to see objects behind me as I travel. That is why I tried the 7" monitor. Thanks again for your help, Floyd.
