Adapter For Using a ISR 5TH Wheel Hitch In a 2022 Chevrolet Short Bed With Factory Puck System

Question:

I currently tow a fifth wheel camper with a 2016 f350 with an 8 ft bed, duals, and a standard isr superfifth hitch mounted on fixed rails, and tabs/pins to connect to the rails. A family member has bought a 2022 Chevy 3500 with the OEM puck system and a 6 1/2 ft bed. I would like to be able to use the standard ISR hitch I currently own in this new truck if practical. Are there adaptors to mount a standard hitch to the puck system? If so do any of them allow for slide? If the adaptors dont slide, how could I ensure I have enough clearance to make tight turns on the new truck with shorter bed? Thanks-Nate

We do have the Adapter Rails # C88KR which will allow you to use your fixed 5th wheel hitch in the bed of the 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. Do understand there is currently not an adapter rail with built in slider. You would have to have either a sliding 5th wheel hitch like the Curt # C35DR or change your pin box to one like the Reese Sidewinder # RP34FR you found that will change the pivot position of the 5th wheel. Going with the sliding 5th wheel is often the better option as you can also put it in your long bed so you wouldn't need to have 2 separate 5th wheel hitches. You would just never need to slide the hitch back in the long bed truck.
