What Are The Torque Specs For The Replacement Lippert Leveling System Foot Pad # LC324269

Question:

I ordered 2 of these for my 2020 fr3 34ds. I have read other comments that the bolt is 7/16 and needs 132ft/lb of torque. Yet the package that I received included a 15/16 bolt. So is 132ft/lb still correct? Also, is there any product literature available where we can verify this information??

Hey TJ,

I went out and opened up one of the Replacement Foot Pad for Lippert Hydraulic Ground Control Leveling System # LC324269 boxes and found that they include a 5/8-18 x 1-1/2" fine thread grade five bolt. I then called Lippert and they confirmed the bolt sizing but stated they had no literature available for this part that stated the torque specs. Since there isn't a manual for this we can just torque the bolt based on its specs, which would be 170ft/lbs for plain or 128ft/lbs for plated. There likely was a manual at one time that listed 132ft/lbs but with part numbers being discontinued over time the original manual is likely lost or something that only OEM's have access to. To sum it all up 132ft/lbs would be well within reason for this installation.
