I have a 2008 ranger boat trailer with the tie down model 70lp brake actuator I was wondering if you had a direct replacement. This is a swing tongue.

As your 2008 Ranger Boat Trailer has a swing away tongue with the Tie Down Model 70LP brake actuator the Dexter Disc # DX73FR or Drum # DX67FR actuator is likely going to be your best option. Both of these are a weld on application so you would need to have your current actuator removed and the new one welded on in place on the swing away portion of the trailer tongue.

Since your coupler is welded on there won't be a way to replace it without removing the welds and then welding a new one in it's place. Since the Atwood couplers were so unique there isn't a similar one that would easily replace it either…

We have the Demco Disc Brake Actuator part #DM8669113 which fits a 2 inch ball and can be manually locked out with the part #DM5939. This has an 8k capacity and is only option that covers everything you are looking for.
