Can The Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack Be Used With A Kuat Swing Away Hitch Extender
Question:
Can we use our Thule Easy-Fold 2-Bike hitch rack with the Kuat Pivot 2 Swing Away Hitch Extender for Bike Racks - 2inch Hitches - Drivers Side Item PVD20B ? The bike rack has a 1 1/4inch tongue with the Thule 2inch adapter. Well be using it on our Winnebago 2022 Solis Pocket. If not, can you recommend a drivers side swing arm that would work? Hi Karen,
The Thule EasyFold XT Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # TH903202 unfortunately can't be used with the Kuat Pivot 2 Swing Away Hitch Extender # PVD20B because the EasyFold has a built in hitch adapter. Manufacturers do not recommend using two adapters at the same time as this can cause a failure.
If you switch to a bike rack with a solid shank like the Hollywood Racks Destination E Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # HLY66ZR then you'd be able to use the adapter # PVD20B to clear your rear doors.
