Options For Wheel Upgrade to Replace 4.80-8 Wheels and Tires on Jetski Trailer
Question:
Hi, I was just looking through your site and didn’t see what I’m looking for so I figured I’d just ask. I bought a jet ski and it just has basic wheels on it so I’d like to upgrade them to something nice. It’s a small wheel so I don’t know if you would have anything like that or not. The tire size on it is 4.80-8. If you have something I’d like to see what you have. Thanks.

Hey Jason,
All of the wheels for your Jetski Trailer in the 8" size are going to be the same plain wheel you currently have. As long as all of your wheels are still usable, the easiest thing to do is to stick with them.
If you have enough room on your trailer to go with larger wheels, you can get a better looking wheel stepping up to a 12" wheel like # AM22319HWT if you have the the 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, or # AM22318HWT if you have the 4 on 4" pattern. You'd need a 4.80-12 tire # TT48012C for each wheel as well.
These are going to be a little over 4" taller overall, which will push the top of the tire about 2-1/4" closer to the bottom of your fenders. You may be able to just move the fenders up on your trailer, or you may have to use a lift kit for your trailer to fit a tire and wheel this size. If you can send me pictures of your trailers I can take a look and tell you what work you'd need to do to make it work.
