Question:
Just completed the installation of the Roadmaster Universal Wiring Kit on my 2010 CR-V. Everything works fine except the center brake light does not illuminate on the toad. Is this correct? Is this legal? Thanks

Often times the Center High Mount Stop Light (CHMSL) is on its own circuit. So yes, if you wire the kit correctly, you may not have use of your CHMSL when you tow the CR-V. Most of the time, a CHMSL is not necessary when towing. All of the external magnetic kits do not have a CHMSL included. I cannot say for sure however, as laws vary by state. The best way to make sure your rig is legal on the road would be to call your state Department of Motor Vehicles or State Highway Patrol office and ask them.
If you find that you do need your CHMSL to function when in tow, please write back and we can help you figure out the necessary changes you will need to make in your wiring.
