Comparing Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapters RM23SR And RM-077-10  

Question:

What is the difference between RM23SR vs RM-077-10? Wanting to put a bike rack on back of my motor coach and flat tow my Jeep Wrangler.

Hello Michael, thanks for reaching out. The Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapters # RM23SR and # RM-077-10 both have 10" between both receivers and they are both rated or 10,000 lbs. The only noteworthy difference is the placement of the receivers. The # RM23SR adapter has the top receiver even with the shank, and the bottom receiver is 10" below.

The # RM-077-10 adapter has the same 10" receiver spacing, only the top receiver is positioned on top of the shank. So the bottom receiver only sticks down 8" below the shank. So it will give slightly better ground clearance than the # RM23SR.

The main thing to keep in mind when selecting a drop hitch is the angle of your tow bar. The tow bar arms must be within 3" of level of your setup will be unsafe. So whichever one you choose, just make sure it will allow the tow bar to sit as level as possible.
