Hello Lee, thanks for reaching out. The Curt Cam Buckle Stabilizing Strap for Hitch-Mounted Accessories # 18050 can indeed be used on a Ford F-150. As long as you can find a secure attachment point on the truck it will work great. It may clip on somewhere on the tailgate or you could use a tie down point in the bed of the truck.

Thanks Jesse The tailgate will be closed of course with a cover and full of stuff so not sure if a tie down point will work, probably worth getting to see if it works since it is an inexpensive part!
