What Brake Controller For 2020 Chevy Colorado & Is There Plug-In Harness
Question:
Hello, I have a trailer with brakes and a 2020 Colorado without brake controller. Can you recommend a controller and a harness for a plug and play solution?

Hi Frank,
While we can get you a brake controller for your 2020 Chevy Colorado, there isn't a plug-in option and harness because the truck doesn't have a plug under the dash. That said, the wires are already run to the cab, so it isn't any type of extensive hardwiring, just some splicing. That said, what I recommend for you is the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195.
The # 90195 is the highest-quality, most reliable brake controller, and I've added a link below to an install of it on a Colorado so you can see how easy it is to put in your truck. The only other thing you will need, if you don't have it, is the 7-way wiring harness, the Hopkins Multi-Tow 7-Way Blade and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector - Chevrolet/GMC # HM11141144.

Hi Kyle, I have the 7 way/4way that I purchased from you guys along with my hitch. I’m not seeing the video on the brake controller install tho? Thanks so much for the quick reply.
