Tire Chain Fitment with 275/70-18 Tires on a 2018 Ram 2500
Question:
Would these chains work on a 2018 Ram 2500 with 275/70-18 tires? I assume so because the overall diameter is between 275/60-20 and 275/65-20, which are both listed as compatible.

Hey Mark,
While the pewag Wide Base Tire Chains # PW94FR will technically fit around the 275/70-18 tires on your 2018 Ram 2500, this set of chains will actually be too big and we need to get you a smaller size so they fit properly.
For your application we have the Titan Chain # TC2533 as well as the Konig Tire Chains # KON44FR. The Titan Chain brand is a step above entry level, while the Konig brand is at the top when it comes to quality and function.
The pewag brand you were looking at is right in the middle of these when it comes to ease of use and longevity so while I recommend the Konig brand due to how nice they are, if you're on a bit of a budget or just don't need the best of the best the Titan Chain kit is what you want to go for.
Last but not least, be sure to check your owner's manual for any restrictions on tire chain usage. Chain manufacturers only check fitment with the tires themselves and don't look into all of the fit requirements in manuals.

Are you sure? . These chains also list 285/50-18 and 285-60-17 as compatible and those tires are a much smaller diameter than mine. I'm looking for a more aggressive chain for off-road use and the Konig seem fairly light. I've used that style Titan chain and they fell apart after 20 feet just on my driveway (never again!).
