Is The RockyMounts LED License Plate Holder # RM030 Available

Question:

I’m looking for the Rocky Mounts LED License Plate Holder - RM030. Do you all sell it, or a suitable substitute? I have a RockyMounts backstage hitch mounted swing away bike rack on my Ford Transit van that covers the existing license plate. Thank you.

Hey Dave,

RockyMounts has another company make the RM030 for them and stated that it's only available for the AU market and not the US. What bike rack do you have? I might be able to find a workaround but will need to know what the rack is to see what could potentially fit.

Thank you Kevin. Crazy that they only sell it in Australia when it is a Colorado company. That said, I appreciate any help or suggestion that you might have to help me avoid a costly ticket as I wander around the country. The bike rack I have is the backstage swing-away bike rack.

@AlternativeR Ok, I requested a few different holders that we offer and will go test them on the BackStage # RKY10002. They're housed at a different location than I am so it may take a couple of days for me to get them and test-fit. I'll let you know what I find.

@BackstageF It all showed up faster than I expected so I was able to test them this morning. The Thule License Plate Holder for Bike Racks # TH35JV was the only option that would work without having to drill into the bike rack. It uses cam straps to secure to the bike rack so you can open the swingarm and strap the holder to the outer arm that swings away. This will also come with a 2-pole wire harness to connect to a 4-pole connector to light up the license plate and keep you street legal. I've attached some pictures above of the # TH35JV installed.
