Camper Tie Downs Mount to Existing Frame Holes or Is Drilling Required for 2005 Chevrolet Silverado

Question:

I have a 2005 Chevy 1 Ton dually pickup, 8foot box and extended cab: with standard hitch, running boards that extend beyond cab... are the TLC4203 and TLC3206 the correct tie downs for my rig? Also can you tell me it there is and drilling required or will they fit into existing holes on the frame. Thanks

Expert Reply:

Yes, the TorkLift Custom Frame Mounted Camper Tie-Downs, # TLC4203 and # TLC3206, will fit your 2005 Chevrolet Silverado with running boards and factory installed hitch.

I spoke with my contact at TorkLift and he said that the rear tie-downs will not require any drilling for installation. The front tie-downs will require you to drill two 1/2 inch holes, in the side of the frame, on the driver and passenger side of the truck. He did mention that location for the holes were fairly easy to get to so you shouldn't have any trouble.
