Recommended Bike Racks that Can Tilt With the Bikes Loaded

Does this Thule Helium rack allow you to tilt the mast for cargo access with the bike installed? If not which racks if any have that capability?

I have a few options for you, but it is not recommended to tilt the Thule Helium Aero Bike Rack, # TH9042PRO, with the bikes loaded. The hinge of this bike rack was not designed to support the additional weight and the bikes will hit the ground when the bike rack is tilted.

Instead, I recommend looking at the Thule Apex Swing Bike Rack, # TH9027XT. This bike rack does not tilt, but it swings to the side and it can swing to the side with bikes loaded. I have attached a demonstration video of this bike rack for you to check out.

If you will be carrying any womens, childrens or alternative frame bikes, I recommend picking up the Swagman Deluxe Bike Frame Adapter Bar, # 64005. Bikes with small or angled frames can be difficult to load on a bike rack and cause ground clearance issues. The adapter bar will allow you to load all of the bikes easily and safely.
