Best Way to Haul a Porta-Bote with a 2015 Chevy Silverado 2500 Crew Cab

Question:

What would be the best way to haul a 12 ft Port a bote with a 2015 Chevy 2500 crew cab pickup. It doesnt have roof racks. When the bote is folded for hauling it is 12.5 ft long, 2 ft wide and approx. 6 inches thick, it weighs 70 lb. We pull a bumper pull camper as well. Thanks

I recommend using the Darby Extend-A-Truck Hitch Mounted Load Extender and Single-Bar Roof Rack # DTA944-968-924. The Extend-A-Truck load extender includes a single roof rack bar and is an economically priced load-carrying alternative that fits multiple cargo applications including your portable, fold-up boat.

You will also need a pin and clip like # PC3.

I have included a video review of the load extender for you to check out.

If you intend to tow your bumper pull camper too you will want the Curt Dual 2 inch Receiver Tube Adapter # D-192. This part will allow you to haul both your camper and your Porta-Bote.
