Curt T-Connector Wiring Harness Recommendation for a 2006 Ford Escape

Purchased T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector Code: 118426 a couple of years ago for 2006 Ford Escape. Last summer the lights stopped working on trailer. Tested trailer on another truck and it worked fine. Checked the wiring harness and I was getting power to the unit, but was not getting any signal on the output. Suspected the unit had failed. I read several posts about the unit and discovered that there may me an issue with the amount of power the lights on the trailer are requiring. The trailer I am using has a total of 9 running lights 3 left, 3 right, and 3 rear as well as stop/turn lights. Is there a module that can be used to provide more amps to power my trailer or another option that will work?

We do have a tail light wiring harness for your 2006 Ford Escape with a higher amp rating than the T-One harness you previously used. I recommend installing the Curt T-Connector Harness, # C56345, which installs the same way as your T-One harness.

For the brake light/turn signals, this harness is rated at 3 amps per circuit versus 2.1 amps for the T-One harness and for the tail lights it is rated at 6 amps verses 4.2 amps for the T-One harness.
