Before you install a hitch on your Jayco Designer XL trailer you will want to contact Jayco to determine if installing a hitch will void the warranty of the trailer frame.
If you wish to go ahead with the hitch install at this point you will need to use a universal style hitch designed for trailers like the Curt Adjustable Trailer Hitch # 13703 that you referenced. This is a general application product, and it is the responsibility of the installer to select a structurally safe location for attachment. For use with RV-approved accessories only.
