Compatibility of Derale # D13950 Atomic-Cool Remote Mount Transmission Cooler with 2012 Yukon XL.
Question:
Will this cooler work with my truck. 2012 Yukon XL. 5.3L It has the towing package with the factory trans cooler. Im not sure if I have the 3/8 tranny lines or not. Should I install it before, or after going through the factory cooler. I just received a Derale 8000 series cooler that i bought from you through UPS today. But I am considering buying one of these with a fan since we do tow alot in stop and go traffic. I do already have the Derale #13035 Gm Radiator adapter.

As long as you have the available space in the area where you want to install the cooler, you can certainly use the # D13950 Atomic Cool Transmission Cooler on your 2012 Yukon. Keeping the transmission cool when you're moving in stop-and-go traffic is exactly what this particular cooler is designed for.
The # D13035 you already have is the recommended fitting. You'll want to install the cooler in the return line heading back to the transmission, whether that line's coming from the radiator or the OE cooler, you want this cooler to be the last in line before the fluid returns back to the transmission.
I'll link you to some articles about transmission cooler that you might find helpful.
