In order to add brakes to your trailer for your 2002 Skeeter Bass Boat, we will need to know what your trailer currently has. You will need to know the axle weight capacity. There is normally a plate or sticker on the axle that lists the weight capacity. If you are unable to find that, you can get the numbers from the bearing and seal to determine what size axle you have. I have attached a photo that shows where you can typically find the bearing and seal numbers.

I have attached a helpful article that explains what is needed when adding brakes to a trailer. I recommend adding hydraulic brakes because they can be backed into the water when launching and loading your boat. Electric brakes do not work well when used for boat trailers for obvious reasons.

You will need a brake mounting flange, hub-and-drum assemblies(something that will match the bolt pattern on your existing tire/wheel), brake assemblies, brake line kit, and a brake actuator like part # T43397007K.

If you want to send me the information I mentioned, I will be happy to make some recommendations that will get brakes on your trailer.
