Several hitches, both Class III and Class IV types, are offered for the different versions of the 1999 full-size Dodge van. The key factor in selecting the right one is the type of bumper on the van, either a standard bumper or a step bumper. The presence of the spare tire is not noted by the manufacturers as affecting the fit; only the bumper type matters. Please see the linked article on bumper types.

Versions of the van with existing weld nuts on the frame are not compatible with certain of the available hitches.
