Thule Cargo Box and Roof Rack Fit on 2012 GMC Acadia with Roof Rails But No Crossbars
Question:
I have a 2012 GMC Acadia. I am wondering if the Thule Force will fit and allow for the rear hatch to open. I also will need the cross rails, Will the Aero Edge work with this cargo box? My Acadia has the roof rail but no crossbars. Thanks.

The Thule AeroBlade roof rack systems offered for your 2012 GMC Acadia with roof rails but no crossbars can be seen on the link at right. Rack # TH7501-TH7502 is the Edge system and this rack features flush bars. If you need longer crossbars that extend further to the sides then the other system, consisting of parts # TH711200 and # TH710401 will work also. Videos for both racks are linked for reference.
My contact at Thule confirmed that their Force Medium cargo box # TH6356B that you referenced will allow full opening of your rear hatch. This cargo box is USA-made and carries Thule's limited lifetime warranty. It is shown in the linked video.
