Roof Vent with Fan Recommendation for an Ambulance in Africa

Question:

I got a regular RV ceiling vent to put in the back of our ambulance in Africa. There are times we have over 20 people riding in the back and no air-conditioning. The catch is that i have to take this back to Africa in a trunk and the 14X14in standard vents dont fit. What could you recommend that is more compact will let hot air out, let fresh air in and also keep the rain out? We are in the US but head back to Africa the end of Sept so a speedy reply would be appreciated.

I think your best option would be the Ventline Vanair Trailer Roof Vent w/ 12V Fan # VP-543SP. This is pretty compact and would allow you to vent the inside of your ambulance. The design of this would prevent water from coming as well.

You could even run two of these. One wired up the standard way to act as an exhaust fan and then wire up the other one in reverse so that it will pull outside air in.
