Metal License Plate Bracket for a Yakima Rack and Roll Trailer
Question:
I read that the plastic license bracket might be replaced by a more sturdy metal frame. What do you say? Should it be a half frame? Do I need to make provision for the plate light?

The Yakima Rack and Roll trailer # Y08107 does come with a license plate light so you would not have to get a separate one. For a sturdy metal license plate bracket I recommend the CE Smith aluminum tread plate bracket # CE26053A. It will be more sturdy that plastic and also corrosion resistant since it is aluminum.
There isn't a specific metal one that you would use so any alternate bracket is going to require a little custom installation. Self-tapping screws should do the trick.
